We finally arrived at Nathula pass via the highest motorized roadway in the world. The pass was shrouded in fog and visibility was low. On clear days, one can get a clear view of the Tibetan plateau across the border in Chinese territory. We had to climb up a few hudred steps top get to the actual border where a barbed wire separates India and China. Oxygen levels are low at 14,450 feet and I found myself gasping for breath as I ran up the steps excitedly. There were several war memorials at the Nathula border pass site and an army post with the Indian tricolor fluttering proudly. As I read about the brave sacrifices by Indian soldeirs on this remote border post in the 1962 war, I realized how much we take our freedom for granted. I felt truly proud to be an Indian.
Well its my pleasure to visit the beautiful place like Nathula- Pass. It was ofcourse a exiciting and adventerous place for me and my wife. Ofcourse there was a little bit of lack of oxygen but seing an old man who was walking with a stick excited both of us. We still remember the soothing waves of wind that has touched our cheeks and the sightseing that has even touched our mind and hearts too. And thanx to the Army personnel who guard our borders even in that climate and at that height. I have got the rememberence of Nathula Pass in the form of photograph of me and my wife that we had climbed the peak of Nathula Pass. And i love to be there agian in future......

Hihgest motorable road in the world is Khadugla pass about 40Km from Leh towards Siachin glacier. The height of the pass is 18380 ft.
I hope this will correct the information
We should be proud of our brave soldiers and be careful of politicians and bureaucrats.

Well said and proudly depicted. An another statement has just clicked on my mind which is, "Kafar Hunu Bhanda Marnu Ramro". Which means, "Its Better to die than to be a coward".
