Nathula Pass reopens Indo-China Trade

As I approached the barbed wire between Indian and China, I noticed a sign with Chinese phrases to facilate dialogue between the Indians and Chinese. I said 'Ni Hao' to the Chinese border guard in his sentry post and he came out to shook hands with me. Then he interacted with a few Indian tourists most of whom have never met a Chinese person before. This kind of interaction is historic given the border hositility the two nations have shared in the last four decades. The red doorway with the orange lettering is the Nathula Pass entrance on the Chinese side, where an Indian and Chinese soldier chat and exchange pleasantries. I wondered what they were talking about..

We do not feel good to shake hands with Chinese. They are betrayer and expansionist. they do not believe in Human values and traditions
